“Painting and the creative process are essential to my well-being.  I can lose myself for hours while I’m painting.  I feel most connected when I am immersed in the creative process, dipping into that well, the source we can all access.  Colour, shape and symbolism play a large part in my work.  Birds, messengers of the natural world, frequent my canvases.  My intent is to foster connections between the visible and the invisible with colour and symbol, some of which becomes evident only when I’ve finished and stand back to regard what I’ve done, as I rely on more of an intuitive process.
